Epic Weapon 10: The Sword of WAR - Chaoseater

     Do I really need to give a while lot of explanation with this those of you whom have played Darksiders know and yes the Armageddon sword is slightly better towards the end but this sword is a bit more sentimentally strong as it's War's basic weapon. The sword would free the souls from the body and the gauntlet would absorb the souls for trade. If you haven't had the time or just couldn't get into Darksiders Chaoseater is the sword of War one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Why I chose this as an Epic Weapon. Well it made it out of the game far enough for people to make replica's as you can see by the United Cutlery details up there. Seriously this is on my buy list. As well the way the story played out this was my default go to weapon beyond the scythe or gun. That is why.

Epic Weapon #9: The Ice Cream Truck

Game of Origin: Twisted Metal
Attack Rating: Variable
Selling Price: The truck or the additional pieces?
game fact: Sweet Tooth is the primary character. He is in all of the Twisted Metal Series

    So I broke my own rule I was trying to stick with basic weaponry but that limited me to a few game genre's and well that just doesn't work and well with The return of Sweet Tooth February 14 2012 I felt this was a fitting tribute to my own personal serial killer clown. Now normally I like to give you facts and details about the weapon that give it it's flare. So lets take a look at what makes this Vehicle with weaponry an Epic Weapon of mass destruction.

    Primarily Sweet Tooth's Ice cream truck was known for Napalm Ice Cream Cones which did some lasting burning damage. As the series progressed this evolved from launchable clown heads to a Transformer type robot which launched an array of homing missiles which tore up your opponents. Both progressive details return in the Dave Jaffe rebirth. Now beyond that it had whatever weapons you picked up in driving around such as power, homing and fire missles. They say a weapon is only as good as it's user but lets face it folks if you were driving down the road came face to face with this truck and this guy as the driver

You'd quickly hit the brakes and speed the other way.

Why This weapon is Epic - Survival of 6 tournaments and even making cameos in monster games and comics. Who doesn't want this vehicle as their own personal weapon.

I'll be honest I haven't been blogging lately due to some side projects. I'm planning on building up a list as I game and working this back up so we can speak of some more awesome and epic video game weaponry. Hopefully I can get things in a bit more order so I can make this a bit more free flowing. If anyone has any requests or can suggest a game to play with some awesome weaponry let me know.

Epic Weapon 8: The Resistance Bullseye

• Game of Origin - Resistance Fall of Man
• Attack Rating - Varies Tag increases and in the recent incarnation improves further
• Selling Price - N/A
• Chimeran Weapon of choice tags lead bullets to target

     This weapon is a take on a classic Contra approach of a Homing Weapon. The primary attack is less accurate but the tagging feature leads to a powerful attack. In the original the gun upgraded to a Blue version which increased impact force. The current incarnation is upgradable to have explosive rounds and a tag which shatters to allow multiple enemies to be auto targeted by rounds. Many may call this a weapon of cheating as you can tag your target and hide behind a wall and still shoot the target as the bullets will go directly to target. In the war against the chimera even in the multiplayer deathmatches this weapon is invaluable.

Why it's Epic: The concept is simple yet powerful. The game is a signature to the resistance series.

Epic Weapon 7: The Master Sword

Game of Origin: The Legend of Zelda

Attack Rating: power almost mirrors lifeforce 

Selling Price: in game priceless

Magical sword that seems to always return to save Hyrule

     This is one of videogames oldest weapons from the 8 bit days. It's lore alone earns it's epic reasonong. Since "Link" seems to always be reborn or awaken and find it to save the day. It's kind of ironic that the weapon that defeats Gannon every single time seems to be so easy for a boy to find. Personally I'd have hid the weapon that could kill me somewhere no one would look for it. IN MY ARMORY.
Why it's epic: Everyone has played a Zelda game at least once the sword is not only iconic it's been made out in steel for collectors.

Epic Weapon 6: The Assassin's Creed Wrist Blade

• Game of Origin: Assassin's Creed
• Attack Rating: Almost instantaneous Death
• Selling Price: Replica or Homemade?
• The assassin's removed a finger to make this blade fully acessable

     Unique yes, and one of the most sought after replica's and even thousands of "how to" sites have looked into making this blade. Sadly the spring loaded blade is highly illegal for street carry. But the concept if beautiful. It's use primarily was for a final fatal blow. I've seen several approaches to weapons like this including a derringer and a spearhead.

Why it's epic: It's a mix of retro assassin per a videogame and unique styling as stated I've found thousands of how to's for this weapon

Epic Weapon 5: BFG 9000

• Game of Origin: Doom
• Attack Rating: Almost Ungodly 
• Selling Price: Military purchase only 
• Originally set to vaporize anything in view

     A classic which brought out the blood lust in all players when picked up. Aliens from hell appearing at your military base on a moon of mars? NO PROBLEM!!! This baby kills almost anything in one shot. There is still a debate on the "BFG" meaning most people it's Big F***ing Gun. I'm told a newer more pc acronym was devised. Several game developres used this idea to design their weaponry as once you hit this ability of a weapon was too far to be fair.

Why it's Epic: DUH!
